Lesson 4 (PBL) October 6

On this day, we discussed about the Problem-based and Project-based Learning Approach

I learned that the Project-based and problem based learning is just simply refer to us as PBL and can be found in the textbook. Project-based is from John Dewey and William Kilpatrick, this promotes active learning, allows High-Order Thinking skills and it is Challenge based approach or research. Problem-based learning is founded in 1960, this is student-centered, students may work in groups and work in solving problems.

I learned that when you are writing a problem-based learning activity, you should identify the outcomes, design a scenario, introduce PBL   while when you are going to write a project-based learning activity, you should prepare and plan, identify outcomes, research, and this includes launching of activities
In conclusion, both have their place in today's classroom and promotes 21st century learning skills
